Still feels super racist without context and like it’s just skating by on technicality, but you’re absolutely right and if I had watched the entire video I would have known that sooner. I can’t say for sure this is a dog whistle, because it does quote a show directly, but it still carries most of the hallmarks.
That’s only related in the sense that there’s an ape, they don’t say any of those racist lines in the Simpsons episode.
