Fairphone (Gen. 6) Will Ship in the USA in August
IMHO, this alone makes the new model worthwhile. I can’t believe they didn’t mention this in the announcement video.

@turbowafflz, the price of the FairPhone 5 at launch was £649. [1] Now it’s £419. [2] the price of the gen. 6 could go down.

Yep ! They also make extra efforts to sanitize the whole production process by sourcing as much materials as they can and paying workers a bit more.

This is the repairable phone, yes.
I’m guessing they won’t make a feature phone because that industry isn’t as wasteful as the smartphone industry.
I hope they make a fair tablet, but it’d better have good I/O. **There is no reason a medium-sized device intended for media consumption shouldn’t have a headphone jack.**
