We currently have quite a few:
- [email protected] (most active, has had federation delays in the past)

- [email protected] (active poster, inactive moderator)
- [email protected] (low activity, unmoderated)
- [email protected] (no active posters or moderators)
Dead instances
Do each of these communities serve a distinct purpose? If not, should we consolidate some of them?
I think the ManderXYZ instance is a nice match for the topic, but I am interested to hear what others think.
I agree with you, that seems like the most suitable instance for this topic, in my opinion.
I’d be happy to moderate on mander.xyz if we consolidate over there.
Awesome. @[email protected], would you be able to add Bitswap and Otter to the moderator list of [email protected]?
@[email protected] and @[email protected], it might help Bee if you each make a post or leave a comment on [email protected].

Are you able to appoint them as a moderator?
Yes, I appointed him as a moderator now.
Thanks, that’s great!
How to add mods to the community? 😅
Open the drop-down menu on someone’s post or comment. One of the options should be “Appoint as moderator”.
Example
@[email protected] can you comment on any of the community posts so I can appoint you as a moderator?
Done. https://lemmy.world/post/28335991
I appointed you as a moderator.👍🏻

Would you be willing/interested to take on a moderator role for that community? It would be useful to have at least one moderator with a local account.
I am interested in being moderator for that community.
Thank you! Feel free to promote the community to [email protected] to make people aware there are new mods
Awesome, thank you! I have added you as a moderator.
That’s great to hear!
@[email protected], please add Bee to the moderator list of [email protected] at your earliest convenience.
Great, added. Thank you!
Thanks!
