So, it’s happening because they’re government mandated it. So, wouldn’t the best approach be to stay federated, so that any of our external content gets federated to them and they see it anyway? Isn’t federation a good thing in this case?
Why would we help them in this case, it would be on them to defederate from us.

“From the River to the Sea” is calling for murder of everyone in Israel. Killing millions of people because a large chunk of them are Jewish is pretty Nazi like to me.

Pretty sure it’s calling for the displacement of all the Israeli people there. But either way, being against Israel is being against the genocide they’re committing, and one does not have to subscribe to every aspect of Palestinian vengeance in order to agree with what Israel is doing is wrong.

Displacement =/= murder. It’s accuracy I want, not hyperbole. And not wanting to resort to hyperbolic language doesn’t indicate an agreement with a given ideology. However it is necessary to be factual and accurate in order to have any grounds for an argument to begin with.

I agree with the first statement, because it’s entirely true. And I even agree that constant threat of defederation being a problem with Lemmy in general, but there is so much wrong logically wrong with the rest of this comment it makes my brain hurt. How can they be nazis and not allow nazis at the same time? And why would you even want the noise of constant nazi propaganda in the first place?
Ok, less political this time. Defederating too much is hurting Lemmy. Those admins live in Germany, they have to follow Germany’s laws. That’s why they made the rule change.
