      The difference is that a Maoist takes ideas from the public and forms a coherent political program from them. It’s a back and forth between the party and the masses, which results in a strong party that intelligently advocates for the people.

      Matty is just talking about polls for culture war issues. It’s chasing the political winds without putting any kind of thought into the project as a whole

          Exactly, ever since the cold war ended with liberalism’s complete victory, it’s become a fundamentally conservative project, with no vision or project beyond maintaining the status quo. It literally has nothing to offer, and can’t comprehend a future different than the 1990s.
