My little old lady is in the doggo hospital right now (she will be fine) and I miss her and her sweet lil pointy face.

Please share pics of your dogs to cheer me up, especially if there are any grey owners here!

They’ll beat the crap out of each other and then curl up like this and take a nap. Brown one is 9, black one is 1.

Fun fact: The old dog picked the new one. She didn’t like any of the dogs I chose, so I walked her through the shelter until she picked that one.

Lol, yep. She was 8 at the time, so I was looking at middle-aged dogs that I thought would be a better fit for her, energy-wise. Nope. She hated them all. So we ended up getting a 4 month old Jack Russell mix which is the opposite of what I thought she’d want. They’ve been besties since.

Get well soon! We all hate vet visits don’t we?

Louie (the the left) has been to the vet today too. It was a suspected prostata infection but it turned out to be a very stubborn bladder infection. He’s going into surgery next month for a different issue but we are confident he’ll be fine. He also has SLO so he is out special needs boy (at 9 years old). Ollie (to the right) is 5 years old and the clown of the family!

Oh my lord, sighthounds are so silly - all twig legs and radar ears! And such sweet little pointy snooters! Good luck to Louie with his surgery, I’m sure Ollie will cheer him up. Are they greys or whippets? I can’t quite tell from the angle of the pic.

Surgery is the reason Greta is in the hospital right now. She’s 13.5 years old and had a soft tissue sarcoma removed from her back right leg last week. With the antibiotics she developed really awful diarrhea, and then she tore her stitches last night when she was struggling to get up from her bed. My poor baby!

Oh wow! I have heard that their skin is very fine and difficult to stitch. Luckilly we’ve only had to deal with it one with our now missed Monty. I am sure Greta will be stocked to come back home.

Both of ours are whippets but pretty large ones. Louie is having a testicle removed that had started growing rapidly. The vet is not concerned though. He had been a Cryptorchid since we got him so they never dropped. But one of them is now acting up. The vet has let us be there when he wakes up from surgery because we couldn’t bear him waking up alone…
