what a coincidence that at the same time that they give an opinion in Mexico the through the embassy the Canadians do the same. Which is embarrassing, with all due respect to the Canadian government. They seem like an associated state. Together.
Oh my god? Absolutely called Canada out on their bullshit lmao
“Associated state” damn that must sting.
Seems like U.SS has added 10 new states and 3 new territories to their country
For anyone else out of the loop: From what I gather, Mexico is currently trying to make it so that judges are elected, rather than appointed. Canada and the US are fussing about this and threating trade sanctions, claiming that electing judges will somehow harm Mexico’s democracy (as you might expect, the reasons I found were a bunch of FUD without much substance). Mexico wants them to mind their own fucking business.
But if you elect judges the people might actually vote for someone who openly says they don’t think some laws are valid or should be upheld.
Imagine if some teenager doesn’t get their life totally fucked because some 70 year old fascist fuckstick who was appointed in 1980 thinks every crime, no matter the magnitude or validity, should be met with the harshest of penalties possible! It would be chaos!
(Basically the mindset of all US politicians and far too many normal people too. “Oh you stole candy? Sorry, penalty is death. You knew the law, scum!” “Moral country” btw. Look how the hogs and even libs have reacted to “progressive” DAs in some cities opting to not prosecute unnecessary petty crimes and instead going harder after crimes of violence including crimes committed by the police (like in Philly. And holllllly fuck do the cops and shitclown Governor hate the DA. People love it though. Objectively bettering things even if only slightly))
Canada and the US should mind their own damn business, what the hell does Mexico having elected judges matter to them?
It matters to Canada because the US told them to care. I have absolutely no clue about the US. Presumably they spent a lot of money getting those judges appointed and don’t want to lose their investments?
because the new judges will not rule out in favor of international monopolies.
looking forward to US sanctions on Texas for having elected judges
And Iowa, and Pennsylvania, etc.
Damn, that’s based.
What was the cause? What did the US and the Northern Associated States criticize?
US is really unhappy that judges in Mexico will now be elected instead of being appointed.
For real? That was what did it? The US is such a fascist state, Jesus.
indeed
BASED???
We’re starting to see more and more leaders who aren’t fully ideologically committed to communism making moves like this, which means the material conditions are driving world leaders to begin real divergence from the imperial core. That means there’s more going on than we fully see in the news media, but we’re all experiencing it - the USA is in free fall and has been for at least a year.
Back in the day, the US was able to choke off countries economically, and then do coups, regime changes, color revolutions, and what have you. Nowadays it’s becoming increasingly difficult to destabilize countries to the point where US is able to run regime change operations. This is also a self reinforcing phenomenon since the more countries break with US the more economic opportunities are available outside US control. In fact, I think we may be getting to the point now where it’s the west that has managed to effectively sanction itself by cutting off so much trade with key countries that refuse to follow western orders. Hence why we’re seeing western economies in a tailspin now while BRICS economies are actually growing.
