Every time I see Pirate Software I do a double take because I actually met Thor in person multiple times (he is/was a friend of a friend). I’ve had conversations with him and spoke with him at parties. I had no idea he was a big streamer (Tho this was just before he used the algorithm to get big). Not gonna post more details because dox etc.

Let me just say- THIS GUY IS ALSO INSUFFERABLE IRL.

He would only ramble on about himself and he got offended by the most mundane shit at the drop of a hat. I tried engaging with him by showing him a trailer for Metal Hellsinger after he started talking about wanting to do a rhythm style shooter and he got mad (??? WHY???) and he just had no sense of humor, all ego, no fun allowed.

Anyway, he was booted from the friends group for a variety of reasons with Palestine being one of them. He is so insecure, which would be fine if he wasn’t an asshole.

Bare minimum requirements for becoming a successful american twitch streamer.

IDK if he’s a Zionist. I last saw him pre-October 7th and from what I know he’s less Zionist and more “enlightened centrist” who has to have a take on everything like his former job as a defense contractor gives him special insight into Middle East politics.

i honestly hate these people more than the hardcore reactionaries. The full on rightoids know they are being hypocritical assholes and get off on it, they are just fully committed to the cause of evil. Getting mad at them is like getting mad at a hurricane for destroying a town. It’s just in the nature of hurricane to do that.

These enlightened centrist shitheads who need to have a contrarian one-upsman take on every single fucking thing despite having only a very surface level wikipedia understanding of issues are probably worse. They think they are being rational and smart and good, but in fact they’re really just so stupid that they’re falling for the bullshit of the evil crowd. They don’t even realize who it is they’re standing up for and arguing on behalf of.

They will equivocate Xinjiang and Gaza, they will give cover to zionists and repeat their hasbara talking points, and the whole time they do it while thinking that being this uninformed dullard is a moral victory. These people are totally fine giving rhetorical cover to a genocide if they think they are being pedantically correct and signaling how smart they are.

        Pretty much!

I’m friends with a bunch of indie game dev’s and aside from that shared interest I had no idea why he was in the group because everyone else is way kinder and more fun to be around, especially his roommate at the time. I’m glad they finally booted him after he spread garbage everywhere. The rest of us completely support game preservation/piracy and it really irks me that he used his platform to attack gaming preservation and it was something that we argued about with him in person. (He did not like that I pointed out that offering your game free to torrent can be really helpful with marketing)

“Eu citizen initiatives” if they receive enough support from enough eu citizens in enough eu countries have to be at least discussed in the eu parliament. So yea its basically vote but a little less pathetic.
