It only took me two weekends to get through the whole thing, and now that it’s over. Wow!

It resembles Slay the Spire, where you choose your path, and collect cards and powers, but the matches are more like puzzles. Your opponent creates scenarios and how you pay your cards determines if you move on or perish.

Now a big reason why I loved this game is the weird shit that happens, and weird shit isn’t fun when you know it’s coming, so that’s all I’m going to say about that.

If you like puzzles or cards games or a story that makes you say WHAT THE FUCK?!? start downloading it now, it’s free on Gamepass!

How long does part 2 of the weird shit last? I really, really enjoyed part 1. I played a little more than (what I thought was) half of part 2, and I just wasn’t digging it. Do things turn around after you

Part 1 was definitely the strongest part of the game.

Part 3 feels more like part 1 than part 2, but it’s still different

Part 2 took a little longer than I think it should have, but I think I was just really bad at building decks. You definitely need to go back and finish that part. There is more.

Inscryption was my absolute favorite game of 2021. Highly recommend playing it if you’re even remotely a fan of deck builder games.

If you’ve already played it, but didnt know the creator made other things I also highly recommend playing anything else Daniel Mullens has released. Namely Pony Island and The Hex. Completely different from Inscryption in gameplay, but similar in tone.
