So I took another dreaded trip out in the day, this time to Bunnings thinking about how much I have to spend with dealing with wasps.

Fate smiles on me when my next door neighbour called out to me and we get chatting only to find out from him that they’re bees and we should leave them for the moment until we notice it get too out of hand then we’ll get a professional in for it.

No out of pocket for the moment thank god.

Also My horsie didn’t place today. 😢

Goldfish are healthy and happy. Places to hide, fed, and everything is cool.

Went out and got some iced coffees and cake things from woolies. Went for a walk down the street and back for my tobacco replacement herb mix.

    Very nice day

Now begins the long wait for them to announce the most important position, who finished last. Don’t care who won, I need to know if I get my money back in our cup sweep 😂

    Venting/bummer

Was wondering if I might go outside on a pretty day…

trashy threatening things happen to remind me where I am

    Nah fuck that

Edit: I could do so much here in the way of activities and making the place nice, but between stupid restrictive tenancy rules and the ferals here I just don’t.

And the housing search is looking pretty hopeless.

Yay! From what I remember, it said to use half a can of coconut cream (milk?). If you use half, what will you do with the other half?

If it’s coconut cream you can sweeten and whip it to top dessert with, like whipped cream.

But for that you tend to refrigerate it upside down to separate the solid fat out from the liquid to make it thick as possible. Doing it with coconut cream would leave much thinner liquid for the curry and coconut milk wouldn’t work for this.

Otherwise you can use it up as coffee creamer or freeze it in ice cube trays for later

Or double the curry recipe to use the whole can and freeze the other half of the food in portions

I’m not seagoon but the answer is usually… more curry!! (To freeze, if needed)

I have half a tin of coconut cream in my fridge waiting precisely to be used in that manner after my epic cooking sesh on Sat. Just gonna see if my aunt drops off any food this arvo and cook up something to go with it.

    Heading back to melbs today.

Got a lot done garden-wise over the last few days which is a good feeling. Bit of a rave choon garden Blitz

Inching ever closer at snails pace to a hands off (ish) summer.

Just spoke to mum 2 days after her fall. Turns out she hit her head first and didn’t say that. now vision is blurred in her only good eye. I suspect a bit of delayed concussion. Her hubby is a doc so she’s in good hands but history constantly reminds me that that gen is stoic AF.

    Lunch!

Bit of a stuff up at the cashier and got double charged but refunded in cash. Almost haven’t carried cash in a good few years.

Think the lady was a tad flustered and didn’t charge me for my coffee.

On mental health watch today for mein liebe, nothing serious as long as I keep to the safety plan, remind him to play with the cat (grounding, and Mickey needs the exercise), and stop looking at the other place lol.

I’ll do some study, play some Brotato, and keep myself centred. Today is a good day for being happy and forgetting about the problems.

    Edit:

      Oh, that’s a chomp.

Hope your liebe is doing ok. Years ago, after some very bad news, my doc told me to have some time outside in nature. I very sceptically laid on a towel in the backyard, which actually seemed to help. Maybe a walk or some time outside might help?

It sounds like a dumb suggestion but if you have somewhere to put a hammock it helps. Something about feeling held and the swaying

      It’s a cliche for a reason

As springchicken suggested, I’m thinking of convincing him to come outside. Our building has a courtyard with a lil fountain and heaps of plants, and a hammock! So that’s a great idea!

Also, I can check on the health of the goldfish in the fountain too. They’re a hardy species, but idk how their health is.

lol I was suggesting it for you so you could care for yourself as well. But yeah buy another so both get one.

Maybe go out to check on the plants and fish. Outside is a great help (assuming it’s safe to do :/)

😂 I forget about myself heaps haha, so thank you 🙌🏼💜

He’s had a gout attack, but I reckon a lil hobble downstairs is doable lol. Either way I’ll pop down and check it out now that the weather is so beautiful. The courtyard is on level one, which is actually level 3 lol, so it’s high up and secluded from the general population. The only way to access it is to get through a few sets of fob doors, and I think two level 1(3? Lol) apartments have gates that can open to it. Perfect little area. 💜

Seriously don’t forget about yourself because invisible informal care work without your own supports and boundaries can and will fuck you up.

Ah… yes, physical limitations. At least one of you take a break
