Yes, a queer won us the second world war.
Once america was in, the allies were going to win eventually. The breaking of nazi encryption only reduced the length by *checks notes* two to three years (excluding the atomic bombs, but thats a topic for another day).
Europe would have won against Nazi Germany even without the USA. They only entered after we had started winning the war without them. Japan might be another matter.
