Thanks. I will try one or all of those.
Thanks. I will try one or all of those.
I can’t even open my wish list.
Is there a way to get my account completely banned by lemmy.ml so THEY cannot see what I post?
Site is unreachable to me now.
This is why I am trying to decide whether to get one now or wait for the 2nd generation. If I buy one now, I will NOT be upgrading to gen 2.
It’s logo was very memorable. Bright pink on black with the bold typeface.
Never bought anything there.
Yes the Deck will be my primary gaming device, but I don’t primarily want to play modern AAA games. My gaming library will be a variety indies, AA and a few AAA games.
I don’t want to invest in a gaming laptop or desktop, I would rather use cloud gaming in the cases I need better graphics.
Good to know. Hopefully future UE5 games will be more optimised.
Is it just bad luck? I’ve watched many gaming laptop reviews and most of them seem to mention excessive fan noise. Steam Deck seems to be significantly more quiet, and the Switch 2 is essential silent.
That’s a very reasonable take. Thanks.
Yeah I have tried cleaning the fans but it doesn’t help. I think it is just not designed well for gaming use.
Thanks for sharing your experience and your straight forward answer!
I prefer to avoid everything from China, but that’s not realistic. So for now I avoid products designed/sold by a Chinese company. That includes video games created by Chinese companies.
That’s true. But I really hate the noise from my laptop. It can be heard from another room.
I never mentioned anything about “made in China”. I said “Chinese companies”.
I am not trying to start a political discussion here, only stating my preference.
Yeah ergonomics is extremely important to me. I also try to avoid products from Chinese companies.
All games in my current library look fine. Just want to plan slightly ahead for upcoming games in the near future (around 2 years).
I actually have a laptop with RTX 3050, but it gets extremely noisy while playing games. I also prefer to play handheld. Currently I stream games to my tablet via the cloud or from my laptop.
It seems that most gaming laptops are noisy and expensive. The Steam Deck appears to be reasonably priced with decent performance.
Wow that’s very useful for discovering games. Thanks!
