Not a lot to this article, but I’m glad he’s focused on making Wayland better.
Also going to throw my vote in for prusa. I’ve got a few printers, including a vivedino troodon and the prusa has worked it’s way into my default printer spot.
It’s not just the Foss prusa slicer, it’s everything else. All the parts can be purchased or printed, their instructions for assembly are really good, their support responds quickly when needed, etc…
Stares at the ones on my wall that have been there for years …
Edit
Thanks for the advice though, I’ve got a yoga studio customer that had like 20 of these and have been there for several years without issue. Pla is fine for 99% of my customers. No one is maxing out the hold weight, and if someone does I’ll offer it in a stronger material.for them
Oh no… 300, in a state with literally millions…what will we do …
Depending on your needs, I ordered a Lenovo X1 carbon with Fedora on it direct from Lenovo. It is awesome and I’d be surprised if Lenovo doesn’t ship to Switzerland.
I also just received a framework 13 for one of my family members and tbh it’s pretty amazing. Might be worth looking into a mail forwarding service.
This says it uses the battery from a polestar. So it’s not lead acid but lithium. And 79kWh.
Don’t get me wrong, I always wanted one of these, had an f150 back in the day, but these days 420hp isn’t even entry level for a lot of basic cars.
Ok, this is something I rabbit holed on. If you want effecient space usage, you really can’t beat the Tesla model Y. Especially if you can get a low mileage used one, but be sure to avoid the 7 seat variant.
It has soooo much usable space. I took pictures to give an idea of how it’s different than a Ford escape hybrid, which was the other car I was looking at. Side note, hybrids are terrible for space efficiency.
The under floor section, generally where a gas tank would go
Second underfloor section. In a hybrid this is usually where the battery might be.
On top of the tote and toiletries bags/charger three weekend suit cases and assorted crap. Notice how much space is still left there are also two pockets, one on each corner.
Same area, just without stuff.
This would be the front trunk, or where the engine is in a gas car. That’s a normal sized ice chest and some random food to the side.
Hard to take a picture of, but there is no drive line or transmission tunnel either, so even more interior space.
Hope this helps visually how space efficient it is.
Edit:
I bought one in 2022 and am averaging about $20/month in charging costs.
Project cars 3 in VR is pretty slick. I still think the gran Turismo franchise is tops. I wish there was a pc version or anything similar.
Ugh, can we not immortalize this jackass in a meme?
Vancouver Washington residents drive to PDX for their jobs, to shop, eat dinner etc…
I had a mower I bought in 2001, took it with me for a few moves. Sometime around 2011 it started sputtering and just take running like crap. Tried to drain it, and it basically took so afternoon. But I got it drained and replaced. The filter had disintegrated.
With the electric mower, I’ve had it since 2013 or so. The battery is finally starting to show its age but it does still work well enough. Still haven’t done anything to it. Might replace the blade soon
I got an ev mower. Solved.
Took so long, finally! Let’s go!
