Post some of your favorite noods you can find readily available in most grocery stores. I like instant noodles, and i know yall do too.
ETA or not readily available too. Ill try some good recs
these are my favorite, I like to put stir fried onions, bell peppers, mushrooms in them sometimes any leftover
spoiler
meat or spam or an egg:::
I make them by just boiling water in an electric kettle, letting the noodles soak for like 5 min while i stir fry the veggies in a wok then drain the noodles and toss them in the wok and add the sauces its really quick. sometimes i make 2 packs and save some for lunch the next day
This is it. The other Indomie Mi Goreng flavors are good too
unironically came here to post this, SHIT SLAPS
Goat
I will look for this next time, ty
They’re unironically killer, although I almost always go the classic mi goreng.
To put it in perspective, they actually come from and are popular in Indonesia where mi goreng originates. Anything made by indomie is going to be at least decent, but follow the package instructions because they’re not intended to be a noodle soup and aren’t great prepared as a soup.
shin is not vegan but it is pretty good, I think shin black is the best
shin black gang
Hell yeah
Tie between Nissin wok-style soba pots and Shin Ramyun for me
We have the same fav noods hell yeah
Best
I went looking at those and saw onion chicken flavor? that sounds good. have you had it?
These are really good
hell yeah
there’s also these in australia - not sure if they’re a kkkrackerised recipe or more premium or what, but this one rules
CW animal products
absolutely goated with softboiled eggs, bonus points for marinading them
Yeah, that range is really solid as a whole but the roasted garlic ones whip.
I like black garlic. That stuffs yummy. Ill have to write these down too.
Loading up on noodle recs
I really enjoyed extra spicy Uncle Shaw Liuzhou Luo Si Rice Noodles. It’s nice and spicy but not like Buldak spicy, and it comes with a shitload of stuff. Lots of pickled veggies and dried tofu skin, and the broth is river snail flavored. The noodles are really good too, good chew.
Shin Green, Indomie Mi Goreng, Shin Black, Buldak spicy, buldak carbonara is actually really tasty lol. Indomie is probably the best bc it’s the most flavorful while keeping empty calories low
I like instant teokkbokki more than noodles - yoppoki makes pretty decent ones, plus they have rappoki variants where you get rice cakes and noodles.
They stock them at big chain Asian grocery store near me.
I’ve had like four people mention that in the last couple weeks which is sorta weird because I dont think ive heard it mentioned before.
I had to look but its carried at the grocery store near me. If its in stock ill grab some and try it. It sounds like it could be good.
Making tteokbokki fresh is pretty easy, too, and only takes like 30 minutes or so. Granted, that’s not helpful for cases where you need lunch to be ready in a few minutes!
The Buldak carbonara tteokbokki is one of my current favorite Mountain Dew Zero delivery mechanisms, because I usually have to chug two to three cans of the stuff to put out the fire. It’s surprisingly tasty before it gets to that point, though. That said, it’s no Shin Black, but it’s really damn good for cheesy bear mace.
Haven’t done instant rappoki in a while, must do because they’re so dang satisfying.
shin ramen is my favourite too
i like to put some kewpie mayo and an egg yolk in it so its creamy
I get these and the shin golds pretty regularly.
mama green curry
these are great, pretty spicy too. the yellow curry ones are less spicy
Most Korean (maybe general east asian) grocery places should carry this which I personally find it hard to go back to shin after trying this one out.
how is this even a debate
oh i stand corrected. i’m partial to a bombay bad boy though
Shin Ramyun and Nissin’s regular bag noodles, except for the chicken and beef ones because those actually have beef and chicken bits in them.
buldak gang represent
these are the best noodles for sure, but i don’t think much of the flavouring
