I have a cultural aversion to self-service. Well, OK, some forms of self-service are fine. (“Mr. Shakey” is my favourite tool for this. 😉) But social self-service is more for others to decide.

I was being a bit cheeky about it, yes. Mostly when I see me in sales talking themselves up it sounds a lot to me like wankery. So self-promotion is tied in my head with masturbation. (Hence the joke about Mr. Shakey, my favourite vibe.)
